Entering Wildwood: A Review

FROM AMAZON: Entering Wildwood
Book 1 of the Wildwood Series
When photographer Clarissa Wakonda accepted a multi-week job helping her boss follow an up-and-coming band half the country away, there was no way she could have guessed everything that would happen. Recurring nightmares and getting lost in the woods were definitely not on her to-do list, and neither was the mysterious and moody Rafe Ravenswood. You can grab your kindle copy here.

However, as time passes, Clari finds herself grudgingly attracted to Rafe at the same time it seems someone else has taken to a dangerous game of cat and mouse that has life or death consequences.  She must decide who to trust before it's too late.

This book is intended for adult readers as it contains topics and scenes not appropriate for those under the age of 18.

MY REVIEW: 5 STARS Entering Wildwood is an exciting debut by author Ellie Winter. I was drawn into the story at once by the vivid imagery and descriptive voice. Compelling characters, well-written dialogue, and a fast-paced plot combine to make this a winning story. I like how Winter mixes emotion with action and doesn't let either one rule over the other when creating a scene. The emotional barriers between Clari and Rafe forming a relationship are believable, which is a testament to Winter's talent. While this is a paranormal romance, the characters face the same emotional battles we normal humans face. Winter wove an interesting tale filled with suspense, romance, a touch of sexy, and just enough dusting of mystery to make me want more. I'm eager to read the next book in the series.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: A gypsy by nature, Ellie has called numerous states home over the years, has been lucky enough to visit multiple other countries, and her wanderlust is one of her favorite traits.  She writes about things that go bump in the night, discovering great love, and magic – sometimes all in one story even (just ask Clari).  Always planning her next adventure, these days Ellie calls the Midwest home with her husband, daughter, and their two cats.
