Loving Olivia: A Review

Loving Olivia was written by Alana Greig. I've read several of her books, and this one touched me. You can grab your kindle copy here.

FROM AMAZON: Olivia was broken, the kind of broken that can't be fixed with pills and a Band Aid.
John and Olivia Adams have been together for a decade; they have two children and a nice home. At least they did until Olivia became unwell, and everything they had planned changed over night.
Loving someone with a mental illness is not always easy as John and Olivia discovered.

MY REVIEW: (5 STARS) Loving Olivia is a touching short story. It portrays the heartbreak and struggle of both being a person dealing with mental illness and being the caretaker of someone with mental illness. I loved how Alanna Greig managed to convey both sides of this very difficult issue. It's rare that an author can manage to showcase both sides with the same amount of empathy and depth. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a quick, moving read.
