The Lost Bow Blog Tour

***I am happy to host P.H. Solomon on his blog tour. He's a talented author and fellow Rave Reviews Book Club member. I love his book cover.***

Haunted by his past. Hunted in the present. Uncertain what is real.

Athson has seen things that aren't there and suffered fits since being tragically orphaned as a child at the hands of trolls and Corgren the wizard. When a strange will mentioning a mysterious bow comes into his possession, he's not sure it's real. But the trolls that soon pursue him are all too real and dangerous. And what's worse, these raiders serve Corgren and his master, the hidden dragon, Magdronu, who are responsible for the destruction of his childhood home. Athson is drawn into a quest for the concealed Bow of Hart by the mystic Withling, Hastra, but Athson isn't always sure what's real and who his enemies are. With Corgren and Magdronu involved, Athson must face not only frequent danger but his grasp on reality and the reasons behind his tragic past.

Introduction

The Bow of Destiny is, at its heart, an adventure quest to find a special bow. Where is it? Who has it? Why is truly special? Is the main character meant to possess it and, if so, to what end?

Few people know anything certain about the bow. The Lost Bow Tour leads you on the path to begin finding out all the secrets that lie in The Bow of Destiny. The world of Denaria is open to everyone to begin discovering answers to the questions and enjoy the adventure of this fantasy quest.

A Rope Ride & Little Team-Building

There you are! Best not wander through here on your own so keep up. What's that? Oh, we've jumped ahead again and we're in Chokkra. Be quiet, there can be a troll around any corner. You see, Tordug lost his dwarven kingdom fighting trolls on the west and betrayed by Rok on the east. After that Corgren let his trolls have Chokkra.

Why are we here? Well, for the tour. No, I'm not going to tell you all about why they are here, just that it's part of the whole story. But you get to take one last ride today so follow me and I'll get the characters to hook you up - or something like that. By the way, lose that helmet. Nobody else has one so no cheating on the ride.

You enter a room of stone lit with a dim light. You start to open you mouth and ask questions but Tordug and Athson motion you to be quiet and hide in the shadows as they dim the light. You shuffle around behind them and then hear something muttering and making noisy eating sounds. You hold your breath. There could be a hundred trolls beyond the doorway.

You hear soft steps in the passageway and sniffing. Uh-oh! The troll has smelled the three of you.

A shadow appears at the door and it steps cautiously into the room. A small troll sees Athson and raises a horn to blow. Tordug springs on the shorter troll and stops the effort. The dwarf dispatches the troll after a short struggle. Athson and Tordug then drag the troll toward open shafts at the back of the room and toss the body down one

You hadn't noticed those. You move toward the open shafts into darkness and feel air rushing through them. It's a long time before you hear the faint noise of the troll hitting bottom. You back away.

Athson waves a dim lantern in one shaft and ropes drop from the darkness above in a couple of the shafts. Just then, horns sound in the distance, echoing through the stone halls and passages of Chokkra. Nearer still, another horn answers.

Trolls have discovered your presence somehow. Quick to the ropes!

Tordug and Athson start tying the ropes around them. You stand there, a little lost about making the correct knot. You suddenly regret dropping out of scouts! Tordug comes over and starts tying a knot around you. Athson interjects and makes motions with his hands about the correct way to tie-off. They disagree for a moment and then come to agreement. Seriously? You break into a cold sweat of uncertainty. Will the knot hold?

When Tordug's finished you hesitate and the dwarf yanks your rope and it's pulled taunt from above. Horns blow again. Tordug pushes you into the shaft and you can't withhold an audible yip of fear as you drop a bit and then slam into the side and emit a grunt. Your last sight of the dwarf is of him tying his knot and then the darkness of the shaft engulfs you.

Air rushes past and you hear little but that sound and the creak of the rope. You twirl in the darkness and bump the side several times. You reach out to brace yourself from the stone and then your progress stops.

You drop! Your heart and stomach race for your throat and the latter almost beats the former. But you didn't drop far.

Hey Ralda must be on another rope. I know that's not very helpful, but..

You start up again and, in spite of your efforts, you slam into the stone again. You look down at sounds from below and see light flickering where you entered the shaft. How far up is it?

Do you want them to stop? Should they pull faster? You can't make a noise to tell them either desire. You keep ascending and brace yourself again. Gutteral words are snarled in the room below you and the light grows brighter. Sweat runs down your face regardless of the cool air current.

Your hand reaches an edge and you see someone just above in an opening. Hands grasp you and haul you out of the shaft. Light flashes in the air-shaft as a troll checks the shaft. You just made it!

I'd give you a slap on the back but let's not attract attention. You should follow the others and you'll be alright. Hey, it's a lot tougher than you thought. But these adventurers are good, aren't they - tough and hardy. They only make it seem easy, eh? Thanks for coming along this week. What happens next? Well that's up to you to find out. I hope you've had fun on these little excursions this week.
