Hi!

Welcome to Day 5 of my “SPOTLIGHT” Author Blog Tour! I am so excited to have you join me, my host and RRBC. Thanks to all of you!!

As some may know, I have always been a fan of quotes. Almost as long as I’ve been writing. Quotes can inspire you, encourage you and give you hope. I think that’s why I enjoy them so much. Because they serve many purposes.

Since quotes play such a large part in my own life, I want to share 15 of my favorite quotes with you. Maybe these will lift your spirits, make you smile and make you think.

* “Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

* “You don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens.”  ~Mandy Hale

* “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.”  ~Audrey Hepburn

* “Faith is the most important thing. If you believe in something, believe it till the end, unequivocally and without hesitation.”  ~Walt Disney

* “Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”  ~Vincent Van Gogh

* “Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”  ~Mahatma Gandhi

Book Blurb:

All she wanted was a fresh start.

Eight months ago, Scarlet made the choice to leave the prison she called home, and to escape the man that put her there. She had made a new home for herself in the small town of Belmont, Montana. The abandoned apartment was far from luxury, but she was better off, away from her past life.

She never expected to meet Lucas, the local hero and town’s only doctor. She didn’t expect to enjoy the small town life. She didn’t expect her past to catch up to her.

Will she risk it all? Risk revealing her secrets at a chance of love? Will she be forced back into the life she hated? Will she gain control of her own destiny?

Available Spring 2017!!

  1. Marlena, there were so many wonderful quotes here! I found a few that really resonated with me. I tend mostly to collect quotes about cats (can't help myself) but a there are a few inspirational ones I love, including Les Brown's “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”
And Beth, you have a lovely blog. Thanks for hosting Marlena today!

  6. Quotes are words to live by. My mother lived by quotes all the time. She was forever quoting something depending on what the situation was. "Never put off for tomorrow what you can do today" is one I remember. They can be so profound. Nonnie's quote caught my attention because we know her. The other quotes are awesome as well. Good Job Marlena. Beth thanks for hosting.

  10. That's a heck of a good collection, Mar! :-D To reciprocate a little, the one that comes to my mind first is kind of trite, but so very true...
'Life is too short to stuff mushrooms!' by Shirley Conran, one of the first promoters for women 'having it all', only to recant and admit you really can't unless you get very creative! ;-)
