What's your favorite Christmas Movie?

**Originally posted on December 13, 2014**

The glorious Christmas season is upon us again. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love the decorations, the food, and seeing the faces of my children on Christmas morning. I also love Christmas movies. (Not as much as my husband, I must admit. He has his TV tuned to the Hallmark channel 24\7. But that's another blog post.)
Watching him watch movies made me think about my favorite Christmas movies. So I decided to throw together a quick list. (I LOVE lists.)

My Top Ten Favorite Christmas Movies are:

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Yes, it's a little cheesy. But the story itself is great, I laugh through the movie, and it has Henry Winkler. Who doesn't like Henry Winkler?

The Muppet Christmas Carol. I am a huge fan of The Muppets. I have all the movies.

Frosty the Snowman. It's a classic. I watched it every year when I was little, and now I watch it with my kids.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Who can't not like Rudolph? This is another one we watch every year.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Dr. Seuss version. Another classic, one that I enjoy. The Jim Carrey version is good, but I prefer the cartoon movie.

A Garfield Christmas Special. Does anyone else remember this? It was a 1987 TV special and I love it. I love Garfield. A couple of years ago, I came across the three Garfield specials: The Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas shows all on one DVD. I bought it for my daughter and she loves it.

A Christmas Carol. The one with Sir Patrick Stewart. I love watching Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise playing Ebenezer Scrooge.

Elf. One of the funniest Christmas movies ever made. I love this movie. Everyone in my family does, too.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. From Sparky to Cousin Eddie to Christmas lights . . . this movie is Christmas gold.

It's a Wonderful Life. This is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. I love James Stewart, and this is my favorite movie of his. I love George Bailey, Clarence, and Zuzu's petals. I always tear up when George realizes what his life means, and I always rejoice when Clarence gets his wings.

And there you have them. My ten favorite Christmas movies. I know most of them are cartoons and\or classics. What can I say? I'm a kid at heart when it comes to Christmas. I love the magic of the season. What are your favorite Christmas movies?
